It has been such a blessing to see the way the Lord has led us this past year. Here are some news updates from our end:
Grandpa Rui
Sadly, Grandpa Rui Rodrigues passed on to his rest on November 1st, 2022. We thank you for your prayers and condolences. Praise God, death is not the end! The Bible says that “The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV). Jesus promised, “I Will Come Again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:3 KJV) What a blessing these promises are! We look forward to meeting Grandpa Rui again!
Handles/Subscribers
In our last blog post, we mentioned that we needed about 100 Subscribers to get our own custom URL; however, YouTube has since changed their policy. Now, you can create your own URL by choosing a handle such as @gleamsofglory (e.g., https://www.youtube.com/@gleamsofglory). It’s easier to find a channel using handles. (To me, YouTube is becoming more like “Google’s Facebook” than anything else.)
Also, if you want to mention a specific channel in a description, instead of typing the channel’s whole URL, you can just insert the handle (e.g., “This song was produced by @gleamsofglory”). So, basically, YouTube just got rid of the limitations of the custom URLs and simplified things. Plus, now you don’t have to get a certain number of subscribers before getting your handle. Now that’s great news but let us stick to preaching the Good News of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ our Lord!
YouTube Instrumentals w/Lyrics & Downloadable Lyrics
We now have Lyrics available via YouTube video links and downloadable PowerPoint files on our website. The YouTube video links have the full instrumental tied to the lyrics and make it easy for singing along and for using when singing live. If you are planning on playing the song and want the lyrics for projection, then we would suggest the PowerPoint file. For the files, go to our website and select the song you desire, then to the lyrics section, and the links will be there. New Songs
We have been wanting to put out a song of 1 Corinthians 13 KJV for a while now. By God’s Grace, in the new year we will have the song: Charity Never Faileth. This Scripture shows us what true love is and how it was demonstrated at the cross.
You know, it’s been such a blessing to see how the LORD has led us in the past year and how He will continue to lead us in 2023. Psalms 46:11 says, “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge”. Paul said that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8 KJV).
Through all the trials and heartaches, good and bad times, mind-blowing and mind-straining, we can say: The LORD of Hosts is with us!
