A few years back, I was memorizing John 1:1-14. This is such a powerful chapter on the beginning and purpose of Jesus' ministry. So, as usual, I decided to put these verses to song. After dividing it into three sections, I began working on each one. The section for this song, verses 6-9, talks about how John the Baptist was a witness, telling others of the Great Light that was rising over this dark world. Jesus Himself said of him, "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist" (Matthew 11:11 KJV) God is calling us today to be His witnesses, too. Isaiah 43:10 says, "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me." Will you answer His call with, "Here am I, send me"?
P.S. This is one of the three sections to John 1:1-14. I chose to put this one out first, but the other ones will come out soon by God's grace!
